Was that listing actually profitable?
At First glance, that may not seem like an important distinction; afterall, if the commission cheque cleared, isn’t that what really matters? Not necessarily.

Every listing comes with costs. Some are obvious, like marketing, photography, and staging. Others are less visible, like the amount of time and energy invested to get that transaction across the finish line.
What I find interesting is that many REALTORS® can tell you exactly what they earned from a transaction, but very few can tell you which listing was actually the most profitable. That matters because revenue and profit are not the same thing.
The largest commission cheque may not generate the best return. Sometimes the most profitable transactions are the ones that require less money, less stress and less time to produce. Understanding that difference can change how you evaluate your buisness.
